Grand Daddy Purp Genetics
Grand Daddy Purple was founded in 2003 by Ken Estes and introduced in the Bay Area. Soon after its introduction, the demand for Grand Daddy Purple was so great that growers began calling any flower with the slightest hint of purple Grand Daddy Purple or GDP.
Ken was aware that many growers were misrepresenting his strain and also growing inferior medical marijuana (MMJ) and calling it GDP. For this reason, Ken decided to rebrand his strain as Grand Daddy Purp. This would ensure that patients would continue to receive superior strains of medical marijuana. All strains from Grand Daddy Purp Genetics are available on Mr. Hanf's website.
