What is Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil?
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil or CBD hemp oil is a natural botanical concentrate derived from the stalks and seeds of cannabis (hemp) plants. Of the more than 85 cannabinoids identified so far in the cannabis plant, CBD is the second most abundant after tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Unlike THC, CBD is not psychotropic and therefore does not cause a euphoric high or any other altered state of consciousness.
Pure CBD hemp oil is extracted from cannabis strains that naturally contain abundant amounts of CBD and low levels of THC. Through a special extraction process, highly concentrated CBD oil or pure cannabidiol is obtained, which also contains other nutrients like Omega-3 fatty acids, terpenes, vitamins, chlorophyll, amino acids, and other phytocannabinoids like Cannabichromene (CBC), Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabinol (CBN), and Cannabidivarin (CBCV).
Pure hemp cannabidiol oil can be consumed directly as a dietary supplement. Over the years, significant progress in developing CBD hemp oil products has led to what are now dozens of different types of CBD hemp oil products, including capsules, drops, and even chewing gum. Concentrated pure CBD hemp oil can also be infused in skincare and body care products and used topically.

Benefits of Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil
Decades of research show that cannabinoids like CBD interact with the body's endocannabinoid system, a complex system that contributes to a variety of biological processes such as inflammation response, relaxation, sleep disorders, and appetite promotion. By binding with the two main types of cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, which occur on cells throughout the body, CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system and helps regulate its homeostasis - the body's natural balance.
