What are grinders?
Grinders, also known as crushers and crunchers, are herb mills or spice mills that can be used to grind herbs and cannabis plant parts. This is particularly useful for vaporizing medicinal herbs or making spices for dishes.
Grinders are available for every need, in different sizes and designs, some even with pollen filtration. Most inexpensive grinders are made of wood or plastic, while high-quality grinders are made of metal or fine ceramic.
Basically, a crusher consists of two round disks with blades or pins on the inside. The contents, plant parts, are crushed by turning the disks.
Some good grinders also have compartments for storing the crushed herbs and a fine-mesh sieve to catch pollen.
