The original White Widow is a Dutch classic whose exact origins are obscure, but it is certain that it was first cultivated in the Netherlands. It was created by crossing a Sativa landrace from Brazil with an Indica hybrid from South India. According to legend, White Widow is the result of years of selection and breeding in the mountains of Kerala to produce resin-rich marijuana plants.
The feminized White Widow from Royal Queen Seeds grows up to 1 meter tall indoors and can reach a height of 2 meters outdoors. This strain requires a lot of light, but can also be grown in cooler climates such as France, the UK and the Netherlands. Indoors it can produce a yield of 450-500g/m² under a 600W lamp, while outdoor growers can harvest between 550-600g/pp. Although it thrives better in warm climates, it also produces excellent results in northern European regions.
White Widow flowers after 8-9 weeks and requires little care, making it the perfect plant for beginners. These characteristics also make her a great choice for SOG- and ScrOG-growers. Untrained she produces a large central cola, but with a little training through LST and defoliation you will achieve an abundance of buds and an open, well-ventilated canopy.
