The genetics are based on Swiss sativa x Swiss indica and have a profile of indica-dominant genetics (60 % indica and 40 % sativa). AMS stands not only as a small salute to Amsterdam, but also for the name that has made this strain famous: Anti Mold Strain. It is precisely this combination of classic Swiss genetics and targeted selection that has produced a strain that has proven to be extremely reliable, especially outdoors.

The plants develop a strong, sturdy structure with stable side branches that stand up well to wind and weather. The internodes remain moderate, resulting in many compact buds that later mature into dense, resinous buds. The leaves are a rather darker green, which camouflages the plants well in their surroundings - ideal for more discreet gardens. Particularly noteworthy is High mold resistance, which makes AMS particularly suitable for areas with high humidity.

Indoors, AMS needs around 9 weeks of flowering to produce the maximum amount of resin, while commercial growers often harvest after around 8 weeks. During this time, dense, compact buds develop, which are richly coated with resin and develop an intense, fruity, woody aroma. Under good conditions, up to 700 g/m² is possible, which puts AMS in the medium to high indoor yield range and makes it interesting for both ambitious beginners and experienced growers.

Outdoors AMS shows its full potential: the plants grow tall and vigorous, with a structure designed for a long outdoor season. Harvest time in the northern hemisphere is towards the end of September, when the heavy, compact buds are ripe. Per plant are up to 800 g/plant possible, provided she gets enough light, nutrients and space. Due to its adaptability and mold resistance, it is particularly suitable for humid, rainy regions where other strains quickly reach their limits.

The aroma of AMS combines a mossy, woody scent with notes of overripe red fruits, reminiscent of old, sweet jam. Towards the end of flowering, the smell can become very intense and clearly fill the room, while remaining characteristically sweet and complex. This profile continues when consumed: a complex, sweet taste with fruity and slightly spicy undertones that lingers on the tongue for a long time and perfectly reflects the characteristics of this genetics.

With a THC content of around 19% and very low CBD and CBN levels, AMS delivers a noticeably powerful but highly usable high. The effect is described as a mix of clear, active head effects and a more inward, reflective impact. It sets in quickly, lasts for a while and still leaves the body and mind active enough to accomplish creative or productive tasks without slipping into heavy couch-lock effects.
