Big Band by Kannabis Seeds
When you launch a strain in anticipation of super production, you must never lose sight of flavor (because that's what growers always complain about).
Big Band was originally created with this premise in mind, and is the result of a cross between a Bubblegum, selected mainly for its flavor and aroma, and a male Chronic - both from the Seedbanks Serious Seeds -. The cross gave it the taste of bubblegum, but with a sour aftertaste, and the structure was that of a typical indica, with a large central shoot and few branches at the bottom.
We use the sex-reversed pollen of this strain to pollinate one of our mother plants with a fruitier flavor, Black Domina. Then we get a hybrid with more branches in the lower part of the plant, with Indica dominance and quite fast flowering. This hybrid also surpasses its predecessor in terms of production and flavor, now one of the strong points of this strain. A plant with strong height growth, even if it does not reach several meters. It is precisely this vigor that makes it a very good choice for a mother plant. It produces long, healthy offshoots that grow by the dozen, depending on pruning, shortly after pruning. Outdoors, the plant hardly grows taller than 1.80 meters, but you will need to support it so that its large central shoot and heavy lateral branches do not break.
It is a very easy plant to grow, as it is a robust variety, very resistant to all kinds of pests.
Big Band produces compact flowers with an excellent calyx-leaf proportion. From the 4.
From the 4th week of flowering, the resin is already very abundant and eventually overflows the shoots and the surrounding leaves. It forms numerous flower clusters that become denser with the first addition of phosphorus and potassium. When grown indoors, perfect results are obtained by using 5-liter flower pots, with coco and the non-circulating "drain to waste" irrigation system. The plants must not grow taller than 60 - 70 cm if you want to obtain an abundant production. The flowering cycle ends after 58 - 61 days. Outdoors, they can be harvested at the end of September, before the first fall rains.
Ideal against stress. The taste of sour strawberries and lemon sticks to your palate and leaves a strong taste of gummy bears.
