Colossus by ACE Seeds
A sativa-dominant powerhouse with legendary Haze depth: Colossus by ACE Seeds combines Golden Tiger 2.0 with Neville's A5 Haze into a powerful polyhybrid with a distinct Thai character, enormous vitality and impressive yield potential. The strain is particularly suited for experienced enthusiasts of complex sativa genetics who seek an expressive profile with depth, structure and a distinctive aromatic presence.
As a feminized strain, Colossus brings a ratio of 80% sativa and 20% indica. The genetics are based on Golden Tiger 2.0, Thai Koh Chang dominant, crossed with Neville's A5 Haze, i.e. Northern Lights #5/Haze A. This results in a vigorous, tall, and well-branched plant structure that clearly displays its sativa-dominant character. Indoors, the flowering time is 11-13 weeks, outdoors, harvest is expected in early November.
Despite its genetic complexity, Colossus exhibits remarkable consistency in quality and character. The most common phenotype remains somewhat more compact, develops large, dense colas and impresses with a high flower-leaf ratio. A second, more sativa-dominant variant grows wilder, with less compact flower structures and an even more pronounced Thai expression. Both forms represent a strain with high yield, strong branching and vigorous growth.
The bouquet is complex and modern. The more compact main phenotype produces bright, dense and sweet Thai citrus notes, accompanied by floral accents, mango and incense. Earthy, gassy, and hash-like nuances appear in the background. The second, nearly pure sativa variant shares the citrusy and sweet-floral Thai profile, but appears spicier and wilder. Especially distinctive are lemony Thai terpenes, which lend the aroma a lively, expansive, and at the same time silky texture.
The cannabinoid range is clearly documented: THC is 20.24%, CBD is 0.04% and CBG is 0.49%. The described effect begins with intense Thai vibes, an exciting, cerebral and expansive orientation. In the main phenotype, the experience later becomes heavier, cooler and more introspective, with a distinct sativa/indica character and relaxing physical components. The airier sativa variant remains more cerebral, stimulating, motivating and cheerful, without the same physically heavy finish.
For cultivation, Colossus is described as very vigorous. Indoors, it can deliver convincing quality and production with strong light intensity and sufficient nutrient supply. ACE Seeds recommends an 11/13 light cycle for indoor flowering to support blooming and prevent excessive stretching or reflowering. Thanks to the strong main stem and the high-yielding side branches, it is supposedly suitable for both SOG and SCROG, horizontal or net-based cultivation. Outdoors, it fits particularly well in tropical, subtropical and warm coastal climates with mild autumn up to about 43 degrees latitude. Its resistance to cold, heat, spider mites, botrytis and whitefly is rated as average to high, rounding off its robust overall impression.
