Product description

Purple Bud - White Label Seeds, Afghani strain with a hint of Sativa & Purple tendency

This is a highly potent, heavy-yielding Afghani strain with a hint of sativa and a strong purple tendency. Purple Bud can easily be grown indoors, even by beginners. However, it also thrives outdoors when grown in a temperate climate zone in spring and summer.

The Purple Bud was bred from some of the most important cannabis gene pools in the world. Its parents and ancestors can be traced directly back to the legendary Indica cultivars of the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, to the medical marijuana scene of California and - of course - to the European epicenter of weed cultivation, the Netherlands.

Two pure Afghanica cultivars had a significant influence on Purple Bud and are the source of this hybrid's high potency, early flowering, dense buds and solid growth. The slightly more distant sativa ancestor is a rare strain from Jamaica that gives Purple Bud a little more height and greater high potential, which complements the body-centered indica stoned wonderfully. In the final phase of breeding our feminized Purple Bud we crossed this 75% Afghani strain with an amazing Kush hybrid of the Dutch-bred Hindu Kush and a Purple Kush from the USA.

The purple coloration of Purple Bud is most often seen on its flowers, not just the leaves (as is often the case with cannabis strains which have a weaker purple tendency). As her leaves are often different colors, it is not uncommon to see Purple Bud with green leaves in the final stages of cultivation, against which her deep purple flowers are all the more prominent. Purple Bud does not require a cold phase to bring about the color change and often turns purple even at normal temperatures.

The flowers of the fully-grown plant are thick, firm and pointed, with a large expansion. At harvest time, they cover most of the stem and branches. Their purple inflorescences are thickly covered with shiny resin droplets and have a strong pine-sandalwood aroma with sweet undertones.

Can't believe that everyone writes about sativa growth. I had mine for 5 weeks in the vegetation phase. 300watt LED dimmed at a maximum of 50%! Absolute indica growth! Most violent! I put them in 11 liter pots and scrounged them! After 5 weeks of growth and one week of flowering they are max. 40cm high but twice as wide!

Easy to grow, smell and effect are also as described, with 2 plants in a limited space over 500g you can't complain. The strain doesn't seem to be particularly stable as I had a very sativa-dominant phenotype, but this could also be because I grow in a greenhouse and the summer was so extreme.
