Afghanica landrace from Anesia Seeds, narcotic Indica
As the name suggests, Afghanica comes from Afghanistan and originally grows in a valley at an altitude of around 800m. Afghanistan has a continental climate with hot summers and very cold winters and accordingly this landrace is very robust and fast flowering. This strain grows relatively short with thick side branches and was traditionally cultivated to produce very potent hashish.
Afghanica requires 7-9 weeks of flowering and can be harvested outdoors in late September / early October. A well well grown Afghanica from Anesia Seeds can yield 500 grams per square meter indoors and between 600 and 700 grams outdoors. It has excellent vigor and good resistance to mold and disease. Afghanica produces dark green and large leaves. The flowers of this strain are very dense and covered with a large amount of trichomes, which is responsible for the high THC content.
The aroma of Afghanica is earthy with a heavy floral bouquet. When smoked, it has the typical sweet hash flavor and offers a strong body effect of a great indica. Afghanica has extreme resin production and good yields. It is a heavy narcotic Indica with a very high THC content.
Afghanica has good disease and mold resistance and is a great strain for beginners. This 100% indica can be grown indoors and outdoors and has a short flowering time of 7-9 weeks. The plants grow short and stocky. The SOG method with 12 to 16 plants per square meter is ideal for this strain. It is recommended to trim the lower leaves of the plants when they are fully grown to allow good airflow and optimize light penetration.
Due to the strong sedative effect this strain is often used to help people cope with insomnia, stress and anxiety. People with eating disorders, such as anorexia, use this strain for its effect on appetite. Afghanica is an excellent strain for pain relief, especially for relieving chronic pain. Afghanica is mainly used as a night-time medication.
