This original Blueberry strain is an Indica-dominant plant that was first created in the 1970s. It is famous for its enormous yields and great smell, but above all for its amazingly fruity taste. Visually, this plant impresses with its purple, red and blue hue, which changes as it matures and takes on a lavender color after curing.

It has a cheerful and uplifting effect, which means it is often enjoyed as a daytime remedy. Blueberry is often used by those suffering from pain, stress or anxiety. Not only is it a delight, it's also an award winner. Won the High Times Cannabis Cup in 2000 for best indica strain.

Blueberry is already extremely impressive and has only been improved. These particular seeds are feminized, which means they will not grow into male plants. The feminized strain has won an award on its own, winning 3rd prize at the 2001 Indica Cup. Feminized strains are still growing in popularity due to their quality, ease of cultivation and consistency.

They were originally perfected by the Dutch Passion Seed Company and are now favored by most growers. This is partly due to the fact that male plants can cause a number of problems for the female plants during the growing phase. This means that they have to be moved, which is simply another unnecessary step for growers. It is possible for growers to use feminized seeds to create a future generation of plants with and without males.

Female plants can be bred together with feminized pollen. This is quite a difficult process and should only be undertaken by more experienced growers. Blueberry takes around 8 - 10 weeks to flower.
