The 80's Durban Poison from Khalifa Genetics is a legendary strain from the North Coast of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, known for its pure, potent sativa genetics.

This strain originated in the northern coastal belt of Durban (South Africa) and is widely recognized for its pure sativa potency . Our friend Ryan, a passionate strain hunter from South Africa, received some old seeds from his father, who grew Durban Poison in the 1980s Durban Poison and sold it. After over 30 years, only 20 out of 200 seeds germinated, of which only 13 plants broke through. This 80's Durban Poison is therefore the true original as it has never been hybridized with modern varieties. Growers can expect these plants to be very different from the Dutch Durban Poison.

This variety originates from a very humid area and therefore offers excellent mold resistance. It is very hardy and vigorous and shows extremely high pest resistance. The plants grow tall and wide, reaching a height of up to 4 meters (13 feet) with creeping, spreading branches. During the flowering period, this strain exudes strong aromas of pepper with a hint of passion fruit. Like most African sativas, it thrives best when planted outdoors at the beginning of the spring season, and has an outdoor flowering time of flowering time of 15 weeks outdoors . The branches bear small, popcorn-like foxtail buds that lead to a large cola at the top of the branches. Due to the size of this long flowering sativa, you can expect high yields of a quality African sativa.
