The name is in no way intended to be associated with violence, but rather to reflect the AK-47's proverbial "one hit wonder" effect: the turn usually sets in abruptly after one or more puffs. No wonder, given a tested THC level of 20 % (determined by an independent laboratory at the High Times Cup in 1999).
