Hello dear community, today I would like to tell you about my second grow - a real adventure that began with a small misjudgement. I had decided on the Durban Poison strain and was originally convinced that it was an autoflower. So I planted it enthusiastically and waited eagerly for the first signs of flowering. But even after a whopping 58 days - that's eight weeks and two extra days - there was absolutely nothing in terms of flowering. Unsure, I contacted Mr. Hanf to get clarification about the variety. The answer was not long in coming: Durban Poison is a photoperiod plant! That same day, I enthusiastically switched the light cycle to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness to induce flowering. Now, 37 days later - five weeks and two days after the switch - the plant is ready to harvest! I prefer a maturity level of 15-70-15 and I honestly still can't believe how fast it went. According to the information I researched online, the flowering time should actually be much longer. As for the harvest: if I had to estimate, I'm around 150 to 200 grams dried - a result I'm more than happy with! My grow room is in an old shower in the basement - nothing spectacular. I had 170 watts available for the lighting. I only used one seed as the D.P. tends to grow quite tall and wide. Once the plant had reached a height of 75 cm, I bent it 90 degrees so that all the upper flowers were at the same height.
