The basis is the cross Thai x Jamaican, resulting from a pure Thai sativa landrace and a Jamaican hybrid. This produces a sativa-dominant hybrid with 80 % sativa / 20 % Indica, which places clear emphasis on the sativa profile and at the same time represents a modern, selected line.

In aroma, Laughing Buddha is fresh and sweet, accompanied by concentrated notes of exotic fruits. To match are the described flavor nuances, ranging from pineapple and lemon to herbal-spicy tones and roasted pepper. The overall impression is sweet-fruity with spicy accents, clearly differentiating itself from heavier, earthy profiles.

During growth, a longer flowering phase is specified, reflected in a flowering time of 70 to 75 days. Indoors, the plant remains at a well-controlled height of about 100 to 110 cm and can reach up to 500–600 g/m² with the right setup. The variety is described as producing large, dense and heavy buds that can build considerable mass despite the compact indoor height.

Outdoors, the height is about 120 to 150 cm, with a potential yield of around 800 g per plant. The harvest window is stated as October (3rd to 4th week).
