White Widow from Green House Seeds
Legendary old-school feeling meets modern power: With White Widow from Green House Seeds Get a strain that has been one of the most sought-after options in Dutch coffeeshops for years and was awarded two first places at the HTCC 1995.
The basis of these genetics are Brazilian x South Indianresulting in a balanced hybrid with 40% Sativa and 60% Indica leads. The structure clearly shows the indica side: short internodes, large leaves and a bushy growth, which results in a stable, well-arranged plant shape and is easy to handle both in the tent and in the professional grow room.
Indoors, the flowering time is around 8 weeks; depending on the phenotype, 8 to 9 weeks are also mentioned. Yields of around 600 g/m2 are indicated, with a maximum of up to 800 g/m2. The variety works particularly well in SoG and ScroG setups, where the bushy structure is fully developed and you can form a regular, uniform flower canopy.
Outdoors, White Widow shows its full potential: the plants can grow up to around 170 centimeters tall, form many side branches and deliver production figures of around 900 to 950 grams per plant. The ripening time in the northern hemisphere is towards the end of September, which makes the strain well suited to mild, temperate regions where the fall is still sufficiently mild and the buds can ripen in peace.
This line also remains true to its legendary role in terms of flavor: the profile combines spicy, woody, sweet and earthy notes, with a slightly metallic nuance in some phenotypes. The most frequently described terpenes are myrcene, alpha pinene and beta caryophyllene, which lend depth to the overall picture. In combination with a THC content of 25.76% and very low CBD and CBN levels, an intense effect is created that can quickly be perceived as particularly powerful by less experienced consumers.
The high usually starts with a distinct indica-style body relaxation and then transitions into a bubbly, sativa-style head high. The hit is described as fast and long-lasting, with a complex, pleasantly multi-layered overall character that can accompany many moments, from quiet evenings to social gatherings. Dense buds covered in a frosty layer of trichomes make White Widow a strain that lovers of classic hybrids should try at least once.

All 5 seeds germinated successfully after 2 days (paper towel method with a container in a water bath at 27–28 degrees). I then transferred them to Jiffy pots in a mini greenhouse under a USB LED light. By the next morning, all the little plants had sprouted :) I’m really looking forward to the White Widow—it brings back memories. The delivery was top-notch. Thanks so much for the goodies!
