The result is a clearly sativa-dominant plant with an impressive resin layer and an officially stated THC content of up to 33 % THC. Original Gorilla #4 is therefore one of the strongest strains in the range and impressively demonstrates what modern genetics can achieve.
In the glass or grinder, the strain shows its aromatic side: an intense scent of pine resin meets sweet candy notes, underpinned by spicy accents reminiscent of sandalwood and a subtle hint of ripe cherries. Original Gorilla #4 remains present on the palate for a long time and combines fresh, resinous tones with a pleasant sweetness - ideal for all those who love pronounced, complex terpene profiles.
The effect of the genetics is just as strong in character as the aroma. The main effect is clearly in the head: a clearly perceptible, clear and focused high that is described by many as euphoric, creative and mood-lifting and can last for several hours. In cultivation, Original Gorilla #4 impresses with vital, vigorous growth and a clear stretch in flowering. Indoors, you should keep the growth phase rather short before reducing the light to 12 hours, as the plants can easily reach 140-180 cm and can even grow up to 250 cm outdoors. The flowering time is around 9 weeks and is rewarded with XL yields yields of around 500-550 g/m² in the indoor grow or up to 600 g per outdoor plant. Due to its extreme resin production, the strain is ideal for SCROG setups and resin extractions.
Original Gorilla #4 feels particularly at home in warm to moderately warm climates, where it shows its full potential outdoors. However, thanks to its robust structure and thick resin layer, it is also ideal for indoor cultivation, where the climate and nutrient supply can be precisely controlled.
